Inbalim

The Jewish handbells ensemble of Israel, "Inbalim", is the only one of its kind in the world. It was founded in 2004 in Ramat Gan by Brenda Alony and Ayelet Barzilay. Our first comductor was  Doron Modan, and after a year Idit Shechtman became our conducter. Today, the ensemble has 9 players.

Inbalim or Bells in English, produce a new uplifting experience for music lovers. The performances are met with critical acclaim and success due to the magical sounds as well as the majestic visual experience that handbells portray.

Handbells can be played as solo instruments, as well as accompanying singers and other instrumentalists.

Furthermore, handbells blend beautifully with many other ensembles, from classical orchestras to pop and rock groups.

"Inbalim" has a number of different programs for all ages: gala concerts for adults; concerts for the entire family; and narrated concerts for children (in Hebrew, English and Russian).

In addition, the "Inbalim" ensemble performs as soloists for special concerts for the entire family with a symphonic chamber orchestra.

The "Inbalim" repertoire is vast and includes: Jewish and Israeli music (specially adapted for handbells by Idit Shechtman); Christian music, classical pieces; songs from musicals; folksongs, and so on.

The fact that "Inbalim" performs Jewish Israeli music alongside Christian religious music makes it stand out from all other handbells groups around the world, allowing for the heartfelt feelings shared by both religions.
